I always find something at Old Navy that I like. Quality has been okay. Styles are very cute. Prices sometimes higher than what I would expect at Old Navy but the sales are pretty decent. Love their online shopping. The only thing that has driven me crazy is that their toddler pants are sometimes made low rise-- now, why would they do that?? Looks cute on the hanger but I spend too much time pulling Lauryn's pants up!

Old Navy is probably my fav. place to get my girls clothes. I just got Ava and adorable ON onsie off of ebay that says "I'm having a bad hair day" It's perfect for her.
I like their fleece pants for her too.

There are a number of pieces that I love from Old Navy. Their fleece lined ones are great for cool weather.

I love the clothes at Old Navy although, I agree, that the prices are a little higher than they should be. I got Brenna a jumper for this coming Christmas for 4.49. I love the clearnace racks although the little sizes are limited. The pants fit her great because she is so narrow in the waist.

I love Old Navy.... especially the sale and clearance racks. I got these great pair of jeans for her for only $4.99!

Old Navy jeans are my absolute favorite item for my girls. I haven't noticed much trouble with the low rise waists, but then again, my girls are pretty solid. Their 2 piece pyjama sets fit really great too.
We don't have an old navy within an hour of here, so I really stock up on the sales when I go.

See now... I'm hot and cold on Old Navy.
I bought several sizes UP in PJ's for my son, and I had to FIGHT to get his arms in the sleeves! and he's really NOT that pudgy!
Last year I really loved their selection and I really stocked up on onsie thermal henleys for Ben. They're awesome because they stretch!
I also stocked up on fleece pants and socks for Ben.
I've gotten a few cute shirts for Lexie, but that's about it for this year.
Oh, and I have to say they're return policy is great! I've taken stuff back that's over a year old and have gotten credit! Like today I'm going over at lunch to return a pair of snowpants I bought last year for Ben!

I like their girls tights. They seem to hold up well, and best of all, they have a label in them that tells what size they are! I don't think any of the tights I've got from other places have labels, and it drives me nuts trying to figure out what size they are!

I love Old Navy for my boys. I have gotten some great things on sale and I love their "track suit" type outfits that I have gotten. I get their sweatpants for daycare there and they hold up great. I also like their socks. :aok:

i like old navy for men's clothes. marc's jeans have held up really well.
i get sweats and shirts for tony here. i used to love the onesies for him. i find their kid jeans too expensive for my taste so i'll get his jeans at kohls or target.
the baby girl stuff is ok. i think a lot of the tops are too thin.
i cleaned up last fall with clearance! i got some jean shorts for tony for $1.97! and tshirts for about the same. and a pr of jeans for $3.97 . i had a ginormous bag of stuff for like $22. :aok:

We just recently got an ON here and I love it! (live in the boondocks) Their sizing is a wee bit funky, IMO - Caroline is almost growing out of their 4T pants when any other brand's 4T is just *starting* to fit correctly!

Oh, and I have to say they're return policy is great! I've taken stuff back that's over a year old and have gotten credit!!
You must have a generous Old Navy, because mine all circle the date and write a big 90 DAYS on the top! And they tell me that I only have 90 days from my date of purchase to return merchandise!
Anyway, I digress. I am another who is hot & cold on Old Navy. Sometimes, I tend to think their stuff is way overpriced. And I can never find toddler jeans for Aidan on clearance. Now, I can ALWAYS find stuff for Norah on clearance. I typically buy Aidan's summer wardrobe there, just because I can find it pretty cheap when I hit a sale :aok:
Its for adults that I am kinda cold about it. Sometimes I find stuff I like, but usually I find quality issues and find that the fit isnt right. :dunno: Though the tight fitting ringer t-shirts work well for my metrosexual husband :lol2:

February 8th, 2005, 10:05 AM
Karri, I have issues with the fit for adults, too - I thought about buying jeans there just to have some good quality but not as expensive as some other places, and the only ones that fit were a full TWO sizes above what I normally wear! And when I took them back the woman was honestly shocked that they didn't fit - I said if I wear the same size in nearly every other manufacturer, why is it only ON jeans that don't fit by 2 sizes?

So far so good! I'll let you know what happens tomorrow at lunch! (forgot the receipt today) I'll be going to my Old Navy at work instead of home!
Oh and I totally AGREE on the sizing! :wtf:

Yeah, their sizing is totally funky and their shirts fit me weird. It's like they shrink "up" kwim?
I'm also hot and cold on ON. Sometimes I find good stuff for the boys and others it seems like they have nothing good for sale. I also agree that they can be overpriced for what they're selling.
I liked their sweatpants and ringer T-shirts for Jackson last year, and I like their athletic ankle socks for Gavin (they're the only thing that will stay on his chubby ankles  ). They also usually have cute swim trunks in the summer.

Now when I shop for myself I find that I need to go a size smaller than usual. That's why I like it so much for myself-makes me feel good.
Brenna can't wear their jeans because the elastic is too wide, but their knit pants are great for her.

Another mixed review for ON, but generally I'd give them a  Seems like you can always find great sales going on. Lette, we love those thermal henley shirts, too- we bought one in every color for Krishan! And I do like their jeans for Emma. But :wtf: is up with all the surfer dude/skateboarder boy clothes?
Their sizing is definitely on the small side, b/c I've noticed Emma's shirts are always short on her. And the low rise thing drives me insane- I'm constantly telling her to pull up her pants!
It's been hit or miss on adult stuff, too- I LOVE my jeans from there, they make me feel super skinny. Some of their tops I've also loved, but others are either too tight or just too young for me. DH has found a few things from there that we liked.
I definitely like their prices, though!

For the most part, I do like Old Navy. As others have mentioned, I can't stand the 'low rise' jeans (toddlers). I find that the back of the jeans (where it has elastic) is the part that comes down and I'm always pulling the back up. Weird! The sizes are funky and I find when I go there I usually buy Lexie the next bigger size than what she normally wears. I do like their capri's though for her. :)
I've gotten her a winter coat this year for play and preschool cuz I didn't want her to wear her good expensive coats all the time and get ruined. It's a really nice coat that I love. I usually get her one coat from there each year.
I use to love buying her the fleecy hats when she was younger. Socks are great to buy there too. I bought her Halloween costume there this past Halloween as well.

My sister bought a winter coat for my nephew last year in a bigger size for the next year. The cashier suggested that she get a gift receipt for it. With a regular one, you have 90 days, but I'm pretty sure that the gift receipt doesn't expire and then you can return it for credit. :)

Ours is in a strip mall that I normally don't go to. When I have to shop with the kidds, I tend to stop at as few places as I can. I'll have to go sometime soon though. I like it sometimes. They have good sales there if you can find the size you are looking for. The adult clothing is a little too trendy for me sometimes, ah.. most of the time.

i like old navy for men's clothes. marc's jeans have held up really well.
All of DH's clothes are old navy, basically they are the only store the sells size 27x29 jeans (when really he needs a 27x27, but they don't exist) and xs shirts. DH is, umm, well lets just say janelle comes by it naturally, he is about 5'6"-5'7" and 115lbs.

I love Old Navy. I buy Alyssa's jeans there all the time and I love getting them on Ebay! My SIL got her some fleace pants for christmas and her but is always falling out of them (we are in underware and it doesn't help) I love their little tops and how they always have stuff for different seasons!
I hate the sizing for me. I am very short. 4'11 and I try on jeans all the time but their short is still on the ground under my heal. DH loves their clothes though and has about 5 pair of jeans and several shirts. I LOVE their PJ pants.
Tylor has lots of clothes from their as well. He is so into soccer and we can find a lot of shirts that have soccer on them ! He loves their jeans and pj's also.
I just bought online for all of us for St. Patricks Day. (We have a huge green party!)
I got this in both colors for Alyssa

I shop Old Navy both for Emma and for me. I loved their maternity clothes when was pregnant. I usually can find something I like but there is alot I don't like either. There tops and dresses fit Emma great but there is alot of inconsistancy with there pants. As someone already commented, what is with the tight sleeves in their pjs. I bought Emma her Christmas pjs thee and the armhole is too tight.

I hate the sizing for me. I am very short. 4'11 and I try on jeans all the time but their short is still on the ground under my heal.
Jayne, I'm 5'2 (on a good day!), and I have the same problem. I cuff my jeans with big fat cuffs, and call it a fashion statement. (Actually, I've seen some young hipsters that are wearing jeans with cuffs, so I figure I'm trendy!.)

See, for me, Old Navy is the ONLY place I can buy jeans that the length fits me, and I have to buy longs. Everywhere else longs are too long, but regulars are too short.
I LOVE Old Navy clearance and that's where I do most of my shopping for the kids.

I don't usually go to Old Navy. Rebekah outgrew their clothes really fast and everything seems to be cut realy small. I hated all the low-rise pants on her. They always looked like they needed to be pulled up.
Oh - I do LOVE their kids socks, though.
I also don't like it for myself. Nothing seems to fit me right.

I did really well yesterday at the 25% off sale. I got Brenna the lady bug bathing suit, a yellow pair of knit pants, matching shirt, 2 turtlenecks (they were 99 cents!!!)-one for now and one for XMas, and of course a $5 St. Pat's shirt. All of that was $27. Now if they could only get their gift cards to work!

I love ON stuff but am very disappointed in the small selection for toddler boys compared to toddler girls:down:. Of course I say the same thing for gymboree (plus I refuse to shop there).

I am sad that as a Canadian I can't order off the website either...even if I sent it to a US address :disbelief:.

Hey Jayne! Thanks for posting those St. Pat's shirts! I got a set for my family today!
I did a job at the 25% off sale today too! I spent $56! :owow:
Shirts, 2 camis for Lex, polo shirt for Ben, socks, some other shirts for Lex and my favorite hat for Lexie! We had one when she was little and last year I couldn't find one.

Not a question asked!!!
Here's what it says on the back of their receipts AND online!
The "Return by" date is usually about 90 days after your order date. Refunds are issued in the original form of payment. If you make a return after 90 days, you will receive a merchandise exchange or an Old Navy GiftCard for the original price paid. Old Navy GiftCards may be redeemed by any customer and used at Old Navy stores, Old Navy Outlet stores, and oldnavy.com.

I'm hit or miss on them too. I can always find things I like for the girls (can't say the same about the baby boy I'm carrying though!) but their prices are just so high! I don't get that either. ON used to be the place where you could get the cutest clothes for cheap. Not sure why the price hikes are going on.
I have a hell of a time finding stuff on the clearance racks too. :dunno: Maybe it's just the ON near me. :dunno: But when I do find something that I like that's actually in their size, the prices are generally good.
I do have to say that I LOVE their socks though. That's about all I use for the girls.
As far as myself, I love their curvy jeans. They fit me the best. Not so keen on their shirts though. They seem to be too short after washing alot of times.

Now I have a hard time with ON socks. The ones with the designs fall right off her feet, but the cuff ones are fine.
The ON I went to yesterday had TONS of toddler size clothes but very little in the small sizes.

I love Old Navy for my kids clothes. For Alex I can snag great deals $2-$7 which is great since he outgrows them so fast anyway. They hold up good for daycare. For Dylan, who is beginning to be a fashion snob, it still works. We got some great items after Christmas. Especially with jeans, she is tall and skinny and she loves the printed tees that they always have on sale.
I love Old Navy for myself too but it can be hit or miss. I bought some great summer shirts for our trip to Mexico at $2 each! My hubby went shopping there before Mexico and did very well for himself too.
It's one of my favorite shopping destinations.

Lette, that skirt is adorable! I'll be checking ON for their 4th of July stuff too. Every year I always buy an outfit or two for Alexia (now this year Angelina too ;) ) for the 4th. It's also my mom's birthday too, so that's why I get her a couple. :)
For the past 2 years I've found adorable 4th of July outfits for her at Children's Place...including cute 4th bathing suits too.
I bought a couple matching outfits for the girls at ON about 6 weeks ago. They look too cute in these outfits!
Let me see....
These pink capris for both the girls with a matching white sleeveless tank w/ pink trim. It has a pink palm tree in the middle (it must be sold out...it's not online)

I also got this bathing suit for Alexia. She had an indoor bday party to go to about 6 wks. ago so I thought this was cute....and for when we go to the beach too (or my parent's new pool) on real sunny days she's mostly covered on the top part. :) I believe this is one out of 4 bathing suits she has so far.

I went there today, and they had all their summer stuff on clearance. I picked up a swimsuit for Jeremy for next summer for $3 and a cute hat for Riley for 97 cents. :aok:
But going in there made me realize that I can't shop for stuff for me anymore since I'm not a size 0 and I don't like looking like a high schooler. :shuffle: Or maybe it's just the ON I went to.
TtownAnne
August 17th, 2006, 07:32 PM
It's not you, Darcy. I only *rarely* buy myself a shirt there. Their sizes are off (I wear a size larger in Old Navy than I do in every other manufacturer?) and most of the stuff I can't figure out how to leave the house in! (tanks with such a low-cut neck there's no bra that can be hidden beneath, material so thin you can see each freckle, etc.) But I love to buy Caroline's clothes from there. I've gotten these recently:
http://www.oldnavy.com/Asset_Archive/ONWeb/Assets/Product/398/398898/main/on398898-01p01v01.jpg (javascript:objPO.openProductImages())
http://www.oldnavy.com/Asset_Archive/ONWeb/Assets/Product/441/441893/main/on441893-01p01v01.jpg (javascript:objPO.openProductImages())
plus navy and brown knit pants, a pink/brown thermal hooded henley, and a few other random things I can't find on the website. Even a bathing suit for next year for only $3!

February 20th, 2007, 02:53 PM
Has anyone been shopping the 25% off kids sale? I went today and got:
http://www.oldnavy.com/Asset_Archive/ONWeb/Assets/Product/452/452963/category/on452963-05viv01.jpg (tank top, not a dress)
http://www.oldnavy.com/Asset_Archive/ONWeb/Assets/Product/459/459792/quick/on459792-03qlv01.jpg (javascript:objPO.goProductPage();)
http://www.oldnavy.com/Asset_Archive/ONWeb/Assets/Product/459/459855/main/on459855-04p01v01.jpg (javascript:objPO.openProductImages())
Plus two casual dresses I can't find on the website, and a pink shirt with a blue glitter ruler that says "My mom rules!" :giggle: All for $55 and some change!

I was just there yesterday. I didn't get anything except a Rugby shirt for Brayden for next fall.
I think they have the cutest baby girl stuff but I don't really care much for the the bigger sizes. :dunno: I didn't have a ton of time to look but I didn't really see much that I would get for the girls. They had a ton of adorable baby boy clothes but Arden doesn't need anything. It was hard not buying him something just b/c it was cute.

I went to Old Navy this weekend and OMG...they were totally cleared out. I was irritated. You'd think they'd restock b/c they'd want the business? They had NOTHING.
I got these for Aidan:
http://www.oldnavy.com/Asset_Archive/ONWeb/Assets/Product/459/459861/category/on459861-01viv01.jpg
as well as some basic sweatpants that they don't have online
Then today I placed and online order and got this for Aid:
https://secure.www.oldnavy.com/Asset_Archive/ONWeb/Assets/Product/459/459844/category/on459844-00viv01.jpghttps://secure.www.oldnavy.com/Asset_Archive/ONWeb/Assets/Product/459/459970/category/on459970-00viv01.jpg
for Elliott:
https://secure.www.oldnavy.com/Asset_Archive/ONWeb/Assets/Product/457/457591/category/on457591-04viv01.jpghttps://secure.www.oldnavy.com/Asset_Archive/ONWeb/Assets/Product/457/457591/category/on457591-10viv01.jpg
for Norah:
https://secure.www.oldnavy.com/Asset_Archive/ONWeb/Assets/Product/457/457721/category/on457721-03viv01.jpghttps://secure.www.oldnavy.com/Asset_Archive/ONWeb/Assets/Product/460/460346/category/on460346-01viv01.jpg
and it came to $50 and change, so I got free shipping :)
I think my mom managed to pick Aidan up a few pairs of shorts and some shirts, as well, before they were cleared out.

I bought 3 pairs of shorts and 3 t-shirts for Christopher and 2 pairs of shorts and 2 t-shirts for Patrick last week during the sale. I love the cargo shorts because they have adjustable waists which work great for my tall and skinny boys.

I went yesterday...I didn't get much b/c they were cleared out and I had both kids with me, so I got annoyed and couldn't dig through stuff...but I did get each 3 shirts (3 for $15). Anna got 3 tank tops - white, pink, and pink striped. Jackson got 3 ringer tees - navy w/ gray neck, gray w/ navy neck, and green w/brown neck. I also got Scott a St. Patrick's Day tee shirt. I wish I had time to go back alone while the sale was going on.
