I just wanted to post a little bit about my .dot com company I started in December.

Kidswap.ca is an online buy and sell for used kids clothes, maternity wear, and accessories. We've got Old Navy, The Gap, Please Mum, Oshkosh, etc. Right now there are over 200 items in infant girls alone, and it's growing by the day.

Due to how popular it's been in Canada (only online for just over a month now and no advertising !) I'm launching a US version sometime in February. In the meantime, if any US mom's want to buy from the Canadian mom's, the exchange rate really makes it appealing. It's like paying nothing for shipping when you factor in the exchange. I don't encourage sellers to pad shipping prices either.

If you see something that you are interested in, but want a better quality photo, just email the seller. They will provide it. If you have stuff to put online before the launch of the US version, please email me via the site. We've got a $30 cap on pricing right now, and your stuff will stay online until it sells or you ask for it be removed.

Forgot to mention one other exciting thing: We're adding a 'swap anything' section to both sites. You can buy/sell anything at all in there. We've had people want to add stuff before it's even on, so you can look for a ton of ski equipment, women's clothing, and books by early next week!

Update: We've categorized the toddler sections into boy/girl/shoes and the kids section into boy/girl.

Selling will now be easier than ever! You can automatically enter your information (no more copying into a table and emailing) and have your stuff online as soon as you enter it!

I'm thrilled to say that we have launched our new and improved web site.

There are a ton of new features to try out:
- user clipboards
- huge new ad layouts
- auctions (comingsoon)
- better pricing and a wider variety of ad options
- US and Canadian sites together with an expansive search option.


During the transfer, many photos did not attach themselves to user ads. We are currently updating ads right now. The quickest way to get your ads up to speed is to login and edit them for:

- Category: There is a larger number of categories to choose from now. Please select the category and sub category that best describes the item you are selling.

- Size: Sizes are no longer choosen from a list. You can now type in your sizes to ensure the greatest accuracy.

- Photo: You can now add a photo of up to 2 mb in size. You no longer have to shrink your photos, and they appear full size in the ad.

- User accounts: Please update your user accounts including any email address changes, your shipping and payment preferences, and addresses. Correct email addresses are vital to customers who wish to contact you about your kid's stuff. In addition, you can update your seller ID and choose one of your own (with no provincial designation).
