Lillian: Like it, don't love it. My grandpa's sister was named Lillian, so I have little old lady associations with it.

Luke: Like the name...but my sister REALLY likes it, so I would never use it.

Lillian.. I also associate it with an older woman. I don't care for it too much. I had a roommate named Lillian, we called her Lil and Jim's cousin is Lilliane, also Lil.

Luke.. All I think of is Luke and Laura from General Hospital. I watched a lot in those days. This one's okay in my book. I have a friend down the shore that named her son Luke.

Lillian.. I like it, but since Madelynn's middle name is Lily I'd never use it.

Luke.. I like it too, but I probably wouldn't use it.

Lillian-- I completely agree with the old lady references!

Luke-- Don't really like it. DH had a high school friend named Luke that was a total prick.

Lillian - I think it's pretty, but I prefer Lily

Luke - rhymes with puke... also bad associations with a jerk from high school

Lillian.. I adore Lily but not it's formal version. However, it was the name of a dear aunt of Joe's who died not long after we were married, so it's possible I might suck it up and name a daughter Lillian with the complete intention of using just Lily.

Luke.. I like it a lot, just not enough to use it myself.

Lillian... is okay. I much prefer Lily

Luke... ehh.. take it or leave it. I always think of that 90210 character when I hear the name Luke. :dunno:

Lillian - I like it but I think it may be a mouthful for some. When I say Lillian out loud it sounds funny.

Luke - I like it, dont love it though. I probably wouldnt use it.

Lillian - I like it. I took ballet with a girl named Lillian for years. She was a really nice kid and extremely talented. That said, I don't know that I'd use it because it doesn't sound all that great with our last name, although Lily sounds okay with it. The Lillian I knew went by both Lillian and Lily.

Luke - It's okay. I don't love it, but I don't hate it either.

Amy - I think Lillian sounds fine with your last name.

Lillian - I think it's ok. I actually like Lillianne (lily-anne) better. My aunt's neice recently named her daughter Lillianne and everyone hates it except me.

Luke - It's ok , too. I used to like it alot

Lillian - It is OK. I also get the old lady association. IU love Lily though.

Luke Just OK...I went to school with a lot of Luc's growing up ina Francophone province so it reminds me of them. I prefer Lucas.

Lillian - It's all right. I prefer Liliane/Lillianne.

Luke - It's okay. A name I'd never heard before Luca is very popular among the Italian population here. Every week there are one or two in the paper.

Lillian - I love Lilly, but am not crazy about Lillian. (I prefer Lilly as a nn for Elizabeth)

Luke - I like it, but its not in my top 10.

Luke... ehh.. take it or leave it. I always think of that 90210 character when I hear the name Luke. :dunno:  This made me laugh only because the character was Dylan. The actor was Luke. (it took ,e a minute o scratching my head to remember that)

Lillian - I don't dislike it but much prefer Lily

Luke - one of my favourites but I wouldn't use it now.(although I think it was on our shortlist when having #1). It doesn't fit with our style of names that we've gone with. I also love Lucas and Luca.

Don't like either one.
