I know there are Moms here who shop at Gymboree for their kids and like their clothing! Some of us are a little more addicted than others. :awink:
Come chat about all things Gymboree! :)
I'll get it started....
What is currently your favorite line or outfit?
What sizes are you buying for your kids now?
Do you buy ahead for upcoming seasons?
Do you resell outgrown stuff, donate it, or hand it down?
How many stores do you have near you?
Do you ever shop off the website?
Here is a link to our buy/sell/trade thread:

What is currently your favorite line or outfit? I always love their Valentine's Day lines! I also liked the Apres Ski stuff, and the new Dandelion line is kinda cute, except for the barf-green stuff.
What sizes are you buying for your kids now? Caroline is wearing *4* now - 3 shirts still fit, but 3 pants are too short.
Do you buy ahead for upcoming seasons? Not usually. I just can't estimate that far ahead what size she will need.
Do you resell outgrown stuff, donate it, or hand it down? All of the above. I've donated a few pieces, given some in swaps here, or handed it down to friends.
How many stores do you have near you? Just 1, and it's a good 45 minutes away.
Do you ever shop off the website? No - it's cheaper to pay the gas to drive to the store than it is to pay the shipping!
Unfortunately I think our Gymbo days might be coming to an end because now that Caroline is in school and not attending Gymboree classes anymore, we don't get any coupons!

Oh Anne, I am going to teach you to "work" the sales! :aok: Before I started working there, I never bought at full price, always on sale, baby! And good sales too! Make sure you register at the website, they'll send you the "circle of friends" email. If not, I am always good for circle of friends cards!

Another fan here, but not a total addict... yet! My daughter's daycare teacher has a 2nd job at Gymboree so we get notice of all the sales and lots of coupons. :)
What is currently your favorite line or outfit? Tiger Love! I've got quite a few items too. :love2:
What sizes are you buying for your kids now? Alexis is wearing 3 in pants and 3 or 4 in tops.
Benjamin is in 18-24 mo, probably heading for a 2T. I've noticed their pj's run small, but don't everyones?
Do you buy ahead for upcoming seasons? No, I wait for the good sales and I can't guesstimate size either.
Do you resell outgrown stuff, donate it, or hand it down? I may have donated some via swap here, but otherwise everything I have is packed away. I've got some cute sets that are like new too.
How many stores do you have near you? 3 :rahrah:
one is 5 minutes from work (I shop at lunch) -
one is 5 minutes from home and
one is in between work and home
Do you ever shop off the website? I don't think I have. I like to see stuff in person.

i'm a gymbo virgin :blush1: i just got into it last month but i'm learning pretty fast
btw: the sale is 25% off right now
What is currently your favorite line or outfit?
i bought some AS and BF for gianna....i think they're both really cute. (do we need a line abbreviation list? ). i have a gift card that i have to use for tony but i'm not thrilled with the boys lines :(
What sizes are you buying for your kids now?
i'm buying 6-12 for spring and 12-18 for summer.
Do you buy ahead for upcoming seasons?
i bought a few things in 18m for next winter. not sure if it'll be the right size so i'm not going nuts
Do you resell outgrown stuff, donate it, or hand it down?
i plan to sell it! i had no idea that you could get good $$ for gymbo!
How many stores do you have near you?
5! the farthest being about 45 mins from me.
Do you ever shop off the website?
not yet. i want the DW navy frog tee in short sleeves and we don't have them in our store but the salesgirl said she'd order it for me when i wanted it  (of course i knew this trick from reading the gymbo boards)

What is currently your favorite line or outfit? My favorite line in Baby girl right now is "grown with love" and for layette it is "sock monkey and friends (zebra.) My favorite winter outfit for Avery right now is actually from last year's "Sweet cupcake" the swing and leggings. I had Shannon make custom bows for it and Avery wears it once a week. I love the colors. For Sabrina, I actually love the "Garden Friends" jumper and sweater combo...she wore it for her 6 month pictures. :)
What sizes are you buying for your kids now? Avery can wear a 2T, 3T and a few 3's. Most of the 3's are way to big on her for shirts and dresses, but leggings and elasticized skirts fit okay.
Sabrina can wear 9-12 in layette, but I've been buying 12-18 months and it's running so big on her. She can still wear 6-12 in baby girl too.
Do you buy ahead for upcoming seasons? No. I've bought a few things, but my kids have grown so differently from how I thought they would (Avery slower, Sabrina faster) that it makes no sense.
Do you resell outgrown stuff, donate it, or hand it down?I've sold some stuff on the boards and ebayed the rest. Sabrina will get some of Avery's outfits too.
How many stores do you have near you? 3, all within a 20 minute drive.
Do you ever shop off the website?Yes, only for things I can't get at my store. Like I wanted to get short sleeved shirts for the Dandelion Wishes line, and only the hot weather stores got them, so I had to order online. I usually wait and order enough stuff to qualify for free shipping.

I just checked the online store locator. I actually have 10 within the Philly and Suburb area. I had no idea!
Realistically I only use the 3 above and maybe I'd use one more in a pinch. :)

I also never buy much at a time - maybe 2 shirts/pants at the most. I'm always just FLOORED at the people I see stacking the counter high and spending $300+! I don't like the stuff THAT much! I had a ton of 40% off coupons from Caroline's aborted Gymboree 2nd birthday party, but those expired on 12/31. Now that she's in school I cringe at the idea of her getting paint all over something.

Colleen, I have some Sweet Cupcake stuff in 3T if you are interested (the overalls and striped turtleneck bodysuit).

What is currently your favorite line or outfit? I was a sucker for the Cherries line. I own everything in it  I also love the Bon Voyage line, City Sidewalk, Fox Trot, and I want to get my hands on this specifi dress from the Hide n Seek line:
http://www.gymbohaven.com/newaug72.jpg
What sizes are you buying for your kids now? Norah is now on the verge of outgrowing her 6-12 month stuff, but the 12-18 is just an oomph to large yet (i give her 2 weeks!)
Do you buy ahead for upcoming seasons? Yes, when its a good deal I do!!
Do you resell outgrown stuff, donate it, or hand it down? Absolutely. I resell it or swap it. I dont think I've donated any b/c I know the value of it
How many stores do you have near you? Four! I think they are all Tier 2.
Do you ever shop off the website? No way....shipping sucks.
I am fortunate enough to have a friend who is Gymbo obsessed (with a wallet to allow it) and she sells me her daughter's hand-me-downs, half of which are still NWT because she buys so damn many things!

Karri, I have a Cherries hat and sundress that Caroline's not going to get into... It's not NWT, but excellent condition.

I definately belong here
What is currently your favorite line or outfit? Right now my favourite line is Tiger Love and Grown with Love. My favourite outfit we have is The Jardin Francais overalls and stripped top. I just bought her the Apres Ski jeans and turtle neck at it is adorable as well but I prefer A-line tops.
What sizes are you buying for your kids now? Emma is in 12-18 months right now. I think she will be moving into 18-24 tops soon but will be in 12-18 pants for awhile.
Do you buy ahead ever? Occasional I buy ahead but I am still uncertain of what size to buy ahead.
Do you resell outgrown stuff, donate it, or hand it down?Even thoughI have sold some of her other brand clothes, I can't seem to get rid of her gymbo one so they are all in a storage container. I will probably go through them again soon to see if I can part with some if not I will save them until I know if we have another girl before parting with them
How many stores do you have near you? 3 all within 30 minutes but all our stores are Tier 3 :(
Do you ever shop off the website? No, I would get killed with not only shipping but duties even though our exchange rate is pretty good right now. Plus I like to see them in person.
ETA: I only buy on sale too. They have so many sales that I can't justify buying anything full price. I went after Christmas and bought her City sidewalk polkadot dress, AS pants and top and Tiger love shirt and top all on sale. :)

Here is Avery's 2 year photo. She is wearing "Copa Cabana." This was only available online at and Tier 1 stores. Someone returned the skirt to my store...I saw it and fell in love with it. A week later, my IL's drove to Cincinnatti, where they have a Tier 1 Gymbo. MIL trafficked back the matching shirt, socks, and hair pretties for me. Now when she travels she always asks if I need to her "traffic" back anything.

What is currently your favorite line or outfit?I don't think I really have a favorite. I like a lot of their stuff
What sizes are you buying for your kids now? Emma is pretty comfortable at a 3 in the tops (actually a little big 2's are great) and 3 in pants for length but really way too big around (I either take them in or I put a safety pin in the back.
Do you buy ahead for upcoming seasons?Yes I do because I only buy on sale. I NEVER pay full price for the stuff ever.
Do you resell outgrown stuff, donate it, or hand it down? Hand it down to friends and family
How many stores do you have near you? I have 3 stores and 1 outlet
Do you ever shop off the website? Nope
I do have to say that I shopped at the outlet today for spring and summer. I got Eoin 3 t-shirts, 2 one piece short outfits and Emma got 1 skort, 1 pair of leggings, and a sweater for less than $60. None of it of course if from the newer lines but hey it works for me. I can't even find t-shirts at target for $3 and 4 like these were. I may go back tonight and stock up on leggings for Emma.
If there is ever something in particular you are looking for that has been out for a while, let me know and I can always take a look at the outlet for you.

I love Gymboree, and I have only boys. I can only imagine how bad I would be if I had girls :)
What is currently your favorite line or outfit? Right now, I am still loving the Red Baron line. I have the red sweater and the jeans with the turned up cuff, and I love to match both boys. I figure soon enough Jordan is going to get opinionated and not want to match  Oh, and I really like the boys layette stuff. I have a hard time not buying it all up :)
What sizes are you buying for your kids now? I am buying size 3 for Jordan and size 12-18 or 18-24 for Blake.
Do you buy ahead for upcoming seasons? I do buy ahead, I had spending too much on their clothes and this way I can buy more. I just found a store really close to me that had a bunch of summer stuff shipped in and got shorts and shirts for the boys dirt cheap.
Do you resell outgrown stuff, donate it, or hand it down? I have a ton of stuff that needs to be sold, I just need the time and organization to do it now :)
How many stores do you have near you? I have found 2 stores that are pretty close to me, I know of one other, but its on 'the strip' and I hate the traffic around there.
Do you ever shop off the website? I don't do many orders on the website as I hate to pay the shipping, but I have if I needed, more like wanted something bad enough. I do alot of browsing and planning there though.
Anyone ready for Gymbuck redemption? What are you planning on buying?

What is currently your favorite line or outfit? I really like the bubble gum line, the only ones I don't love are the ones that use too many 70's colors/
What sizes are you buying for your kids now? 18-24 or 2T for Maggie and I have bought a few onsies for baby Will in 0-3 or 3-6
Do you buy ahead for upcoming seasons? Yes if it on sale at a great price
Do you resell outgrown stuff, donate it, or hand it down? Right now I have kept most of it, hoping I have another girl, but I am sure if my sister gets pregnant she will get some and I will probably resell too
How many stores do you have near you? Zero!!! The closest gymboree is 2 1/2 hrs away!!! So needless to say most of our stuff comes from the online store. I only get to the "real" store a few times a year!
Do you ever shop off the website? Yep, even though the shipping is high, this is about the only way me and my mom can get gymbo stuff :(

What is currently your favorite line or outfit? I bought a ton of the Jack's Garage line. I loved the jackets with Sparky's Garage on the back. Also, I bought the boys X-Mas outfits from Prim and Proper.
What sizes are you buying for your kids now? 12-18months for Alex and 2T-3T for Cameron.
Do you buy ahead for upcoming seasons? When I find a great deal I do.
Do you resell outgrown stuff, donate it, or hand it down? I sold some stuff, but I am storing the rest for hand me downs...
How many stores do you have near you? I have five that I go to.
Do you ever shop off the website? No, that would mean a package would come in and my DH would know what I spent

I am complete ADDICT!!! I can't resist shopping there all the time!! We take two gymboree classes a week also. I have $100 in gymbucks to use next week and I CAN"T WAIT!!!!
What is currently your favorite line or outfit? I love the new frog line.. I saw the other day but am waiting to use my Gymbucks next week!! Lauren has some the gumball stuff now which I love and some of the ski stuff.
What sizes are you buying for your kids now?Lauren is wearing 18-24 months.
Do you buy ahead for upcoming seasons?no.. I am too impatient and want her to wear it NOW. Plus, I'm always bad at judging ahead.
Do you resell outgrown stuff, donate it, or hand it down? I usually keep it in case I have another girl.. if she has worn it and I didn't care for it I will usually sell it
How many stores do you have near you? TWO, which according to my DH is TWO too many!
Do you ever shop off the website?YES!! Especially in the summer when I live in Ireland.. they deliver to me there!!!!

I do have one Gymboree outfit that I've never been able to identify, even from the Gymbohaven website - Caroline wore it for her first Easter (2002) at the ILs, so she was about 4-5 months old. I distinctly remember buying it from the clearance rack at the time. It's a black one-piece short sleeve suit, white collar, with tiny red, white and pink flowers all over and red smocking on the chest. It was absolutely my favorite of her outfits from the "little baby" stage because it's so unusual to find BLACK, of all colors, for a baby. Unfortunately I don't have any digital pics of it, so I'd have to take a picture of the picture to even show you....

I'm just a sideline Gymboree fan - I love the girl stuff, but I haven't been overly impressed with the boy stuff I've seen. However, I have just learned from this thread about the Tiers and apparently the stores on my area aren't even on the list. I'm guessing that's why I've been underwhelmed by the selection. ;) (If I'm understanding correctly - the higher the tier, the nicer the selection, no?)
Anyway, I have owned only 2 Gymboree outfits, and both were gifts.
Gavin wore this all of maybe 3 times, tops. Dang kid grows too fast! It's a really snuggly fleece. Just looked it up, and it's from Walk in the Woods line.

2000 Azalea. We have just the shirt matched up with a pair of leggings from a 2002 line I haven't figured out yet. I also have a top and pair of leggings from the Snow Angels line. And lastly, Colleen bought her goddaughter Alexis 3 pieces from the princess layette.
I could do some serious damage........

Nichole,
I got this explanation from the Gymbohaven site, mostly because it was easier than typing it out myself.
QUESTION:
What is a Tier?
ANSWER
Gymboree has set up their stores so that each one has a level of inventory that it will receive. Their level or TIER is based on their sales and store capacity.
Tier 1 receives everything, Tier 2 receives the almost same minus a handful of specialty tier 1 items, Tier 3 receives a smaller amount and the lowest of them all is a Tier 4 (I haven't seen too many of these).
The 'look book' that comes out with the new lines is color coded - Black is what we all get, then there's orange, purple and blue. It tells you on the bottom of the page what each color represents - Example: what tier 3 is getting is black and orange . Most of the sales woman can tell you what their store will receive from that information.
Sometimes a warehouse shipping error will result in a store receiving something it shouldn't (tier 1 merchandise) but no one complains when that happens :)
Then we also have the online store only items too. To find out what you store is - Call or ask the next time you go in. They are more than happy to tell you. Most stores say - go ahead and complain to corporate if its too low a tier - this helps them know that there's a demand for a larger tier in a particular area.
So, there will be whole lines that will only be Tier 1 and online. Then there will be pieces that are Tier 1 and online, or Tier 1 and 2 and online, or even Tier 1, 2 and 3 and online.
If you go into a store looking for something and they don't carry it, you can always ask the Sales Associate to do call online for you. They will call the online store, and they will ship it to you for free (only when the store calls.) Usually you have to order more than one item (like, they tend to not want to ship 1 pair of socks for free....) and it helps when there is stuff not available at your stores that you want.
Also, if you call a store yourself looking for something and want it shipped to you, they will ship it to you for a flat rate of $8...whether it's one item of 15.

sorry karri, no hns dress at the gymbo we hit today. i did pick up some freakin bargains though :woo: i'm not at liberty to discuss because they are a gift for someone on this board :awink:
however, i did pick this up for gianna next winter. i am pretty positive that the store is not a tier 1, yet i found this panda club outfit (from what i've read the panda was only tier 1 and online) :woo: they had 2 jumpers and one onesie and that's it. must have been returns. i got the jumper for $18 (reg. price $34) and the onsie for like $10. apparently the jumper was mismarked at 23.99 when it should have been 27.99.
http://www.gymbohaven.com/ABCGan40.jpg http://www.gymbohaven.com/ABCGan47.jpg
picked up this shirt from the sunshine daydreams line too. it was like $3 (i got biker shorts from this line last week)
http://www.gymbohaven.com/Sunshi100i.jpg
gianna's only four months yet i'm developing a huge gymbo habit :blush1: . i am dying to buy spring stuff but since we don't really get a spring here i am waiting for the prices to drop.
tony was being such a brat i was distracted and forgot i was supposed to buy a gift for a bday party next week...looks like i'll be hitting another gymbo tomorrow  (somebody help me)

Online carries everything...all lines, and all pieces.
Tier Ones carry most everything. I say most because the exception would be that if there are 2 versions of a shirt...say short sleeve and long sleeve, it'll carry the sleeve "appropriate" for the season. Only the "hot" climate stores (and that seems to be Miami ) managed to get short sleeves with the new Dandelion Wishes line.
But Tier Ones will get all lines and all pieces, maybe just not the varations.

I would LOVE to be addicted, I just can't afford it. I do have the adorable Tea Party dress & hat Riley is wearing that Shel posted (thank you again!!) in Emily's closet waiting for this Easter.
Have to say that I adore their online clearance sales...last December I totally scored when the Sweet Cupcake line went on sale. I was able to buy 2 pairs of embroidered jeans, two turtlenecks, two cardigans and two pairs of pink patent polka dot mary janes ALL for.....$60!!! :yippee: DH was even impressed. I got one outfit in size 6-12 mos (with a green turtleneck) and size 3 shoes for Emily to wear last year, as well as the same pieces (but a pink turtle) in size 18-24 mos. Sadly, I bought the shoes in size 4, not realizing her feet would shoot out once she started walking. Now she's in 6's, and I can't find those right now...but still looking.
Sarah, I love those ice cream print pants Katie is wearing. I was able to get that same print in a sundress for Emily this past summer at OUAC for only $5!
We have 2 stores near us, but I rarely go since they are in malls I never shop. I'm betting they are Tier 2, but not for sure.
Here's Emily in her birthday pics from last year.

I can't wait to put more dresses on Emma this Spring and Summer now that she is close to walking. :) Last Summer Gymbo shortails were my favourite thing to put her in. I did buy the Spring Blossom dress last year:

Unfortunately she only wore it once since she just started crawling and was tripping over it. :( To make matters worse, we forgot to take a picture.
This year I plan to buy her dresses and maybe matching shoes. :)
I Love the Tea Party Dress.

Here are a few pics of Maggie wearing gymbo. One is from the hula girl line, I can't remember what the line of the bandana outfit is but this is one of my fave's and the other is a vintage gymboree outfit. I can't remember if I got this at a rummage sale or what.

Dang, Shel, you sure do like your accessories
Hey, with 3 boys and Riley acting like a boy, I have to at least try and dress her like a girly girl once in awhile

If anyone has ever seen a picture of my girls you know what a SERIOUS Gymbo addict I am! I am having to learn to curb it a bit since Scott is staying home but I just dropped quite a bit on the website to get some clothes for next winter, I've never bought ahead but I'm trying to save some money and still have my Gymbo! I am considering applying for a part time job at the Gymbo closest to us (30 minutes away) to get the 40% off.
My current favorite lines are SF and GC, Abby adored the Sweet Cupcake but we didn't buy ahead so she outgrew it last year, so sad!! Here are a few recent pics of the girls in their Gymbo

I can't believe I just saw this! We're addicts, too. I have actually thought about working there part-time, just for the discount...
I just bought Katie two Christmas dresses for next year - the silver one with the pleats and the three bows at the waist, and the burgundy one with the rhinestone buckle at the waist. And I bought a cute velour one-piece outfit with a jester on it that says *spoiled* for a baby shower gift.
No pictures right now, but I'll try to take some tomorrow! :)

I'm not quite the Gymboree fanatic as some of you but I do manage to get some really good deals there. I don't know the names of any of the "lines". Here are a few pictures from Christmas, though.

You can't really see Isabelle's dress very well but it was the black velvet one. She also had the silver coat (that matched Allison's skirt) which my mom bought very cheap during the week of Christmas. My mom also bought Isabelle the doll that was wearing the same dress. Isabelle almost refused to wear the coat because the doll didn't have one. I don't have any pictures of the coat accessible right now.
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v490/ktattar/Misc/IAChristmasDresses.jpg (http://photobucket.com/albums/v490/ktattar/Misc/?)
Oh, and I just found this one. Isabelle LOVES her zebra dress and wants to wear it ALL the time.

They're having a 25% off sale that ends tomorrow Lette and then Gymbucks redemption starts after that.

I definately belong here! I love Gymboree so much that I got a part time job there back in October. I'm only working one day a week but I love working there and have gotten some great deals. I love working there but have spent way more than I've even made so I'm trying to control myself.
What is currently your favorite line or outfit? I am in love with the Grown With Love line right now. I want to get more pieces but am restraining myself.
What sizes are you buying for your kids now? Right now I'm buying 2T and 3T for Peyton but I think she'll be able to fit into size 3 soon. For Lindsey, I'm buying 3-6 and 6-9 months.
Do you buy ahead for upcoming seasons? If I find a good deal on the rounders then I will but I don't generally buy ahead with the current lines.
Do you resell outgrown stuff, donate it, or hand it down? Lindsey will get Peyton's hand me downs and whatever Lindsey outgrows will probably go on eBay.
How many stores do you have near you? We have 2 stores that I'll drive to but we also have a Tier 1 that's not too far away.
Do you ever shop off the website? Not unless it's something that I'm dying for and we don't carry it in my store.

Question for you that are buying ahead for next year?
How are you guestimating what size they'll be?
If Lexie is wearing a 3 right now, would I guess well for a 4 next year?
Up to how long will Gymboree accept returns?
Jenn
January 10th, 2005, 02:43 PM
Lette, you have 6 months for returns.
kim
January 10th, 2005, 02:47 PM
you can return for up to 6 months from purchase! it's on the receipt).
i am completely guessing with gianna for next winter....she is about to bust out of her 3-6 tops right now...so i'm guessing 18-24 for next winter....i'll keep the tags on and if it's the wrong size i'll ebay it.
nocona!!!! you went to the store?! oh man i really think i'm a bad (or good?) influence on you!
Eva
January 10th, 2005, 04:55 PM
I am buying 18-24 months for Spring and 2T for Fall winter. Since my little Peanut is only fitting in 12-18 now especailly in pants I think i should be OK. If in a few months it look slike I am off base I will return it or if i forget sell it on ebay.
Here is my latest purchase that I won on ebay this weekend:

So, is anyone looking to sell anything that their kids have outgrown. I love some of the older lines but I hate searching ebay and then if I do bid on something, I usually lose it. If anyone is interested in selling anything, Peyton wears a 2T-3T and Lindsey can wear a 3-6 through 6-9 months.

not sure. i put my stroller FS in the stroller forum instead of buy/sell/trade because that's where the stroller people go. so i would assume we could post out b/s/t and iso's here since this is where the gymbo people are.
btw: have you seen the views for this thread!

I love the new line, but then I love those colors on Peyton. I just can't spend anymore. I spent about $300, w/ my employee discount, back in December. I may get a few things since we're going to the beach soon and Peyton doesn't have any spring/summer stuff.

I love Gymbo stuff! I swear, if Ri would have been a girl, we would totally be in the poor house! I spend enough on the boys line and they aren't nearly as cute as the little girl stuff.
Saturday I ended up going to the mall just to "browse" and ended up with a couple of the "tractors" line

Okay, question regarding Gymbucks?
I think Colleen said redemption starts tomorrow, but is it too late to acquire gymbucks today?
I think I did Gymbucks last fall, so I can't remember if it runs right up to the date, or if there is a lag of no aquirement in between. Does that make any sense?
Also, when will the next Gymbucks program start?

You could only acquire Gymbucks in December so that's over. Also, regarding the next Gymbucks program, they don't really tell us much ahead of time. Gymboree likes to keep that a secret for as long as possible.

Lette, Gymbucks seem to be running 4 times a year. Employees can't earn Gymbucks :( but the last time I redeemed was in mid-July when Sunflower Fields came out (so at the start of back to school shopping.)
Plus, if you register at www.gymboree.com, they'll keep you informed of all the sales and promotions.

~Lisa~
January 11th, 2005, 02:21 PM
Before I order do their clothes run big or small? Riley is right in between 3t & 4t and Morgan is right between 9 & 12 months. Should I order on the bigger or smaller side for spring?
Colleen
January 11th, 2005, 02:31 PM
Lisa, they only go up to a 3T, and then it's 3, 4 etc. I'd look at their size chart and go with that.
I usually tell customers to do this:
If they are tall and thin, or average and thin, use height as your guide. But if they are chunky, use weight.
I've always been safe using height.
And yes, Gymbo stuff is generously sized for the most part.
~Lisa~
January 11th, 2005, 02:39 PM
Thanks Colleen. Riley is tall and thin and Morgan is pretty well even all over. I will look through the chart.

I'm buying her 12-18. At her last appointment, she was 90th for height at 75th for weight. She was 29" and when we went to the ER in December she was 18 lbs.
The 12-18 month stuff is a little big. She fits well in baby girl 6-12 month stuff and layette 9-12, but I want grow room.
TtownAnne
January 11th, 2005, 03:12 PM
Exactly! Caroline is 39 inches tall and 35 pounds, and 4s are just a *hair* too long in sleeves and pants, but 3s are too short.
Riley is 33 lbs and 38 inches and she's wearing 4. I know Caroline is wearing size 4 too.

Here's Francesca in Giraffe Club (playing on the floor at my office). She has the matching hat and Leah has the dress. I ordered almost all the My Pet Goldfish stuff for Francesca today.

What is currently your favorite line or outfit? I don't really have a favorite right now, the latest things I've bought was the giraffe club sweater dress for Janelle and the robot (ls and ss), pirate (the red one), and bambini onepiece outfits for caid. That's what I like the best, dresses for janelle and one pieces for caid...probably cause they are too skinny for pants.
What sizes are you buying for your kids now? 6-12 for Caid and 12-18 for Janelle. Gymboree runs way big imo.
Do you buy ahead for upcoming seasons? I did...but caid hasn't grown in like 5 months (seriously, half an inch and about 6 ounces is it) so what I bought him for spring won't fit this year.
Do you resell outgrown stuff, donate it, or hand it down? All of the above. Or if it is really cute I save it for who knows what.
How many stores do you have near you? Umm, we have at least 4 stores within 20 minutes, and an outlet an hour away...within an hour there are probably 20 or so.
Do you ever shop off the website? Yea, only when I'm buying enough for free shipping though.

I just ordered an outfit for each girl for next fall/winter, plus a velour dress that I am hoping will work for Ashton to wear for Alexis' Christening next month in Buffalo. I am meeting Julie at the mall tomorrow and she has gymbucks to use, so we will definately be hitting the store there.....hope I don't do too much damage or Don will kill me!!!

I am a Gymboree newbie!! I love the new lines and hope to get Brenna some this spring. She has one dress that she got when she was born (a pink knit with a bunny on it) that she will wear for Easter.

I'm not sure if I have any pictures of my kids in gymboree...I'd have to look. The tier thing is kind of strange...I've never noticed anything online that wasn't at our store...

There's not a Janie & Jack within two states of me, so I've never seen their stuff! :dunno:Tyson's Corner, VA has Janie and Jack.
Aiden's coming home outfit was from Gymboree's "Spring is in the air" line. I love their stuff when it has airplanes or space themes. Their line that had all the coats, argyle sweaters and such for little boys had my husband soooooo close to buying DS a suit. I go in there, but I admit, some boys things are just not as cute as the girls. :(

Well, I called my store last night and they were in the process of unpacking 41 boxes! I figured it wasn't all going to be out and I wanted to avoid the deluge this morning and afternoon.
I'm thinking of heading out now to go. Gotta get the good stuff before people snap it up!
Did anyone buy anything today?

Kim, dresses usually sit around for a while, especially sleeveless ones that debut in the winter. I think it'll be around for a bit.
That one is super sweet! I can't wait to see it in person. I'm working tomorrow night so I am just going to head to work a little early to shop then. I also have a few returns that are in Sabrina's closet, and I didn't want to tempt fate and go in there to get them. So, I nixed my trip tonight.

My store by work was unpacking loads of boxes this week too. The 2 girls in there were just oooh and ahhhing everything as they unpacked them.
I screwed up and didn't get gymbucks this time, so I'm going to wait too.
I did get an email that my online order of $123 shipped yesterday!!! I just hope it doesn't all arrive today in the torrential downpours! :errr:

I love Gymboree and I usually only buy on sale or off of ebay so older lines but I was looking for some hair ribbon's or bows to match the outfit I got from Anne (well will be getting) I know that it has a hat but sometimes Alyssa won't wear them so I thought I would look for some bows. LOOK WHAT I FOUND!!!!!!!!!

I'm not into the really big bows, but these look cute for the Tiger Love dress I bought her for next year. Anyone know what the difference is between an alligator clip and a french clip?

I do..since I buy them all the time. For slipery hair I would go with an alligator clip..but Alyssa does fine with a french clip as well..and her hair is rather fine! Let me see if I can find a picture!

jayne, funny you should bring up bows because i was just sitting here looking for bowbands to match gianna's gymbo outfits. (again, somebody help me i'm spiraling into gymbo induced psychosis)
there are links to m2m (made to match) items on gymbohaven http://www.gymbohaven.com/Handmade.html or you can search ebay for m2m bows .
