Yesterday I ended up having to stay 45 minutes late, which meant that I was 45 minutes late picking up the boys. It actually was only 30 minutes because I pay for 9 hours a day, but they are there for only 8 hours and 45 minutes. I had called when I found out I was working late and told them. I asked the director how much extra it would be and she told me to not worry about it!!! I know that the policy is $5 for every 5 minutes per child that you are late. So, if I had to pay it would have been $60. But she was so nice. I was wondering what other day care policies are???

Our center closes at 6 PM. At 6:02 it costs you $10 and then an additional $2 per minute after that.

It doesn't matter if you normally pick up at 5:15 or whatever, you only have to pay if you pickup after 6 PM.

Our daycare was $5 for 5 minutes late and $1/minute after that. That all started at 6pm.

Preschool is $5 after 5 minutes late and I think $5 for every 5 minutes after that too

I really don't know what ours is, but it's similar to Lette's that it's just after 6 p.m. We don't pay for a certain number of hours.

My daycare is open until midnight, so there isn't a late pickup policy, TG....

When Aidan was in daycare it was $5 for the first 5 minutes AFTER 6PM, then $5 per minute after that. We had to provide them w/ a rough estimate of when they'd be there, but we werent held to that b/c you pay for either full or part time. Anyway, One of the main reasons daycares do that (charge after they close) is b/c their insurance only goes until they close. They are covering their butts.

Ours closes at 6:15pm. If you are not OUT OF THE BUILDING by 6:15pm, it's a $40 fee, paid in cash before leaving.

Same here! When I was in the hospital recently and DH was laid off, she took him 2 days a week at no charge for a month! You can understand why DH and I are so depressed she's closing her school for good this month. :blue:

$5 for the first 5 minutes and $1 for every minute thereafter. I have only been late once but it cost me $14. She is open til 5:30pm which isn't always easy to make.

My DCP does watch some of the kids at off times. She watched one child for a week while the parents went to Puerto Rico. I have no idea what she would have charged for that, but I know she would charge. She wouldn't do anything for free.
