If you choose to have an avatar/profile picture, it must be a picture of you and only you.

There may be certain times when this requirement is lifted... for Halloween and April Fool's Day. Otherwise, please make sure that you avatar/profile picture is a picture of you and only you.

I am assuming that is what she meant.

I dont like the avatars w/ kids in them (as cute as I think the kids are)

Me too, Karri. Everyone's kids are cute, but YOU are the member, and in a couple of pics I've seen there's more kid than parent!

:( It's a huge deal for me to make a new avatar, unfortunately, because I'm still struggling to get used to this new computer. Can I ask why this restriction? And is there a time limit for switching them?

What we were referring to are the avatars/profile pics that still have not been changed from Halloween or if they have then they are something other than a picture of the memeber. Those we would like to see changed with the next 5 days.

As for the pictures with member and child, I dont mind them per se but we have always had a policy (whether or not is is written, I dont know, but I do remember some threads about it from the early days) that the avatar should only be the person. Let Sheila and I talk and see if we can agree on something and we will get back to you.

It's not a big deal for me, I will change it. I had no idea it was even an issue or that people ACTUALLY had an opinion on it.

Wendy and Sheila, have you come to a decision on this yet? If I have to change mine I will, but my profile pic has always been me and Victoria since I first joined here a year ago (I think I was first to do it) and nobody has ever told me that I couldn't in all that time.
