I've been using hemp - Joeybuns - but I am thinking about trying something different that isn't hemp. Any ideas?

I like infant sized prefolds, and I like the micro-fiber stuffers made by Fuzzi Bunz. :)

I tried the prefolds, but they leaked - I probably didn't have them in right though.

Brandi, I use infant CPF's and Peyton is a super, heavy wetter and we never have leaks. :dunno: I also sometimes wrap ab JB with a prefold if I want added absorbancy and this helps.

I always folded mine in thirds down the long side, so the most absorbant part was tripled over itself.....make sense???? if it doesn't I can explain more, I'm just not too good at explaining

Also, are your prefolds all the way 'broken in'?? That can make a big difference.

I folded mine the same way and it made a huge diference! I used mostly hemp though because it was less bulky. In smalls I only used 1, same thing with mediums except by then she was sleeping through the night so I doubled them at bedtime. In larges I used 2 hemp stuffers and/or ducky buns and HH stuffers with the extra hemp where needed. I also would fold a prefold around hemp for night time as well.

I have 3 different things but I have a favourite - I reach for the Fuzzi Bunz inserts first of all - probably because I find they just hold tons for us and they dry quickly. Secondly these days, I grab a JamTots insert and if they're all dirty, I grab a Joey Bunz. I just find they take sooooo long to dry that they are my last resort but I still like them.

If it was for a long car ride or overnight, I wrap a FB insert in a Jam Tots (or a microfiber towel).

I use joey bunz for Janelle and caid during the day and a joey bunz and a moe insert at night for caid. I did try a cpf yeasterday and it worked fine, just a lot more bulky than a joey bunz is

cpf's were way to bulky for me, so we use joey bunz/hemparoos and that's it. rarely do they leak. only if i wait too long to change him.
