At what age did/are you start using a pillow with your toddler? Do they like it? Does it help them sleep?

TIA :)

I started using a pillow with Caroline when she was about 18 months old - I noticed that she had started wadding up a blanket under her head at night, or sleeping on a pile of stuffed animals. I bought a toddler pillow from Ebay. I don't know if it "helps" her sleep, but she does seem to like it.

13 or 14 months i think. it's one of my old ones and practically flat as a pancake. i gave it to him because he was using a stuff animal as a pillow

i think it helps him stay the right way in his bed, instead of moving around so much.

This is the exact reason that we are looking into one. Tyler is 13 months old and I just am not sure if he is too young.

Emma was about 13 or 14 months as well. She kept taking the pillows off the couch and laying down on them, so I finally bought her a travel pillow, which is just the right size for her crib. She usually sleeps on it, but moves around so much that often it winds up everywhere except under her head! Still she's very attached to it and we take it with us whenever we have an overnight trip.

Matthew was 17 1/2 months old. I had to start putting him in the guest bedroom because he wouldn't sleep in his crib. I don't know if it makes him sleep any better, but he sure does like the pillow.

aidan started using one when he was 13 months, i think. he was used to falling asleep in our bed, so when we tried getting him to sleep in his crib, we put a flat as a pancake pillow in there.

Kiaeryn's been primarily co-sleeping with us since October. She's always snuggled up to the pillows, but we just recently started letting her use them on a regular basis. I think our next step may be putting some flat-as-a-pancake models in her crib. Clearly she thinks her crib is less comfy than our bed.

Alexia is now 21 1/2 mos. old and we started with a pillow pretty recently....probably about a month ago. Like others, we just put in one of our really old ones that is as flat as a pancake. She does like it. :) I don't know if it's a coincidence or not, but when we put it in she has started sleeping 2 hrs. more in the morning...which is a good thing! She was gettin' up way too early for me!

Alex is 16 months and we just started using a pillow. I originally used it to elevate him to help curb his coughing. He seems to like it but he moves around so much that he's not on it for long.

I was wondering the same thing. Emily loves using my pillow when she lays in bed with us. She is 18 months and I've been thinking she is old enough now.

I gave Riley a pillow when we moved her to her big girl bed at about 18 or 19 months. She loved it and now she wont sleep without one.

Julian started using a little toddler pillow when he was about 13 months old. Fat lot of good it does him - he's such a wiggly sleeper that more often than not his feet will be on it instead of his head!

We started letting Nicholas sleep on a pillow at 12 months, right around the time he started pulling pillows off the couch and laying on them on the floor. :)
