This was a headline in our local newspaper today. :rolleyes:
Infertility cure linked to defects
Canadian doctors are warning that a fertility treatment used by thousands of couples each year to help men with too few sperm to father a child may increase the risk of major birth defects -- and that men who use it should be screened for genetic abnormalities.
Here is the link to the actual article, which in my interpretation, really doesn't say those things; at least not in such a spectacular manner anyway. What it does say regarding how the eggs are fertilized, makes sense but IMO the article doesn't conclude what the headline is shouting.
It's not going to stop me from going for it, in any case. :)
