I am just starying out. I am licensed through the state of Michigan. I am not sure what to charge? For one kid or 2 siblings? I am trying to get an idea I do understand it is different with the areas in which we live. I live in a small rural community if that helps.

We live in Denver and use a daycare center that has about 100 kids maybe? We pay $1195/mth for an infant and $850 for our 2 yr old.

When Madelynn went to an inhome daycare I paid $75 a week and had to bring a snack that would last all week.

We would pay over $150/week if Rebekah went full time. Right now, we pay $83 a week for 2 days. This is at a center.

Aiden is at a center in a small rural town. We pay $150 a week full time.

I'm also in Denver and have private in-home care. We pay $150/wk for full time care. This was the price when he was an infant and it will remain that price until kindergarten. We supply diapers. She has 6 children total.

ETA: I think she does offer a small discount for multiple childen from the same family.

I live in Richmond, Virginia. My son goes to in-home daycare. I used to pay $150/week for an infant and now I am paying $120/week for a toddler.

We pay $75 a week for full time care (five days a week) in a day care facility. We provide Maya's formula, diapers, wipes, and baby food.

i pay $150 wk for in-home. that includes all food, i bring the diapers.

Jackson is in a private day school, but the in-home daycare we were considering charges $140/week and that included all his milk, snacks and lunch. We were to provide diapers (and I'm sure formula if he was an infant.).

Jack goes to an in-home day care and we pay $225 a week, full-time, and we provide all his food and diapers (when he was wearing them). We live in NYC though, it's very expensive here.

We pay $55 a day. Our dd goes twice a week. For full time you get a break and it is Only $235 a week. :duh: We are in San Diego area in CA, so it is expensive here too. :dunno:


Maybe you should call around to check prices in your area, to see what the going rate is?

:eek: wow, some of these prices are shocking me! But I know different places have diff. costs/living wages, etc. Kris, I'm in IN and it's $75-$80/wk here for in home care.

When Paddy was in home daycare we paid $132/week fulltime and we had to supply food/diapers/milk etc.

Now both boys are in a daycare centre and it is $378/week and we supply diapers only. They give us a 10% discount for siblings. It is actually supposed to cost me $396 with the discount until Paddy turns 3 in another 2 months, but the manager mis-quoted me when I enquired and she has agreed to honour the original price of $378.

We pay $37 for a half day session in a public center...ouch.

Julian is at a daycare center. Since he's moved up to the 2-year-old room, our tuition has dropped to $101 a week.

Cameron will be going to a center two days a week and it will cost $105 a week.

I pay $192/week for three kids in a center for full time care, I provide diapers, milk, snacks and formula. They get 2 meals a day, plus breakfast if need be. I do get a discount, though, it is normaly $19/day for an infant-18 mos.

We live in Canada (Hamilton ON) and we send Macie to daycare three full days. We pay $102 per week in a daycare centre. This includes two snacks, lunch and drinks throughout the day. We supply her diapers.

We are paying $302.20 for three days a week for two children. Once Cameron is potty trained it will drop to $261.50. It is in a center for nine hours each day. They provide snack and beverages, we supply everything else.
